Singer partners with Sikh Aid Foundation to support families affected by floods in Assam
Singer and actor Guru Randhawa has stepped forward to support flood-affected families in Assam by donating ₹7 lakh towards the construction of 35 permanent homes. The initiative is being carried out in partnership with the Sikh Aid Foundation and aims to provide long-term housing assistance to families who lost their homes in the devastating floods.
The contribution comes as relief and rehabilitation efforts continue across several flood-hit regions of Assam, where many families have faced displacement and severe damage to their homes and livelihoods.
Focus on permanent rehabilitation
According to the initiative, the funds will be used to build 35 flood-proof homes designed to provide safer and more durable shelter for affected families. Unlike temporary relief measures, the project focuses on long-term rehabilitation by helping families rebuild their lives with permanent housing.

Guru Randhawa’s donation adds to the growing support from members of the entertainment industry for Assam’s flood relief efforts. Earlier, actors Bhumi Pednekar and Randeep Hooda had also extended assistance to people affected by the floods.
